CONNECTING

WITH CULTURE!

25 - 26 September 2019

MATENADARAN

Mesrop Mashtots Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts

Yerevan, Armenia

The Matenadaran Museum is part of the Mesrop Mashtots Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts and houses exhibitions that track Armenian culture from the creation of the Armenian alphabet in 405 AD to the present day. Where better to explore the conference theme “Connecting with Culture”? After all, research networks and other e-infrastructure do not only support 'big science', but also digital libraries and cultural heritage, Open Science and Machine Learning, humanities and the social sciences, and performing arts collaborations across borders. Learn from world-changing thinkers and innovators in Open Science and e-Infrastructures

The 4th Eastern Partnership E-Infrastructure Conference (EaPEC 2019) aims to serve as a platform for collaboration on policy and research and supports community building in e-Infrastructures between the Eastern Partnership region and the EU member states.

This two-day conference will focus on e-Infrastructures for Open Science in Europe. Speakers will lead interactive discussions about Open Science and foster the exchange of ideas in research areas such as physics and seismology, biomedical sciences, robotics, HPC and data analytics, climate and ecology.

Enlighten Your Research (EYR), the international programme to encourage collaboration between researchers using specialised IT and network services, will have its award ceremony for its regional EYR @ EAP programme in a dedicated session.

EaPEC 2019 is organised by the EU-funded project EaPConnect and welcomes policy makers, research managers and experts on networking and high performance computing for research and education from EaP countries and all over the world.

The conference will be hosted by ASNET-AM, the Research and Education Networking Association of Armenia, a beneficiary partner of the EaPConnect project.
